PREGNANCY TESTING

Pregnant…or maybe not? Having trouble deciphering the results of a store-bought pregnancy test? Bring a urine sample to the prescription counter of a Clinique Santé-affiliated pharmacy offering the pregnancy testing service and we’ll run the test for you.

You should take a pregnancy test if you experience the following symptoms, which can be associated with pregnancy:

  • Missed a period
  • Morning sickness or repeated vomiting
  • Fatigue, dizziness, vertigo
  • Breast sensitivity

When should I take a pregnancy test?

The majority of over-the-counter pregnancy tests – urine tests – can tell you if you are pregnant as early as the first day of your missed period. You should also know that the morning urine is more concentrated and will therefore give a more accurate result.

If your pregnancy test is positive, you should see a doctor to make sure your pregnancy is developing as it should. If the test is negative, but you continue to experience certain symptoms (missed period, for instance), see your doctor for a check up.

If you have any questions about pregnancy test, talk to your pharmacist!
